Hello,
This installation will see some shoots on miracle water - mineral water.

This indigenious idea of mine came about when I just relished myself with gulps of the water from the bottle while watching the hit popstar wanna-be programme on the local pay TV.

I came to wander that there are people - and there are people who wanna be popstars, and how all this can help the ecosystem in a total manner. Fat and thin, with and without looks, curvy and curve-less - they have one thing in common - the popstar that is chosen by people that are pathetic and authoritative in determining these wannabes lifespan by push buttons miles and miles away from the bungalow that congregates the 12.

Failed to discover the connection between the elements in this semi complex ecosystem, I stopped to think about all that and thought that it would be a good idea to catch some shoots of the bottles and the water that I've been sipping for this 33 years of living.

Here they are! Enjoy them!

Hello!

It’s been a while, yes, I know! Have been busy doing this and that and lotsa of work!

I am uploading a few (or more) photos from the trip I had to Penang over the last weekend. It was a great trip, very insightful and pretty much eye opening.

The photos are largely from the small trip organised by the organiser to the ad congress to Khoo Kongsi, or the Khoo’s clan house.

There were a few tour guides and experts of the clan house, but I couldn’t really much bothered about his/her explaination as I was busy tending myself looking at the intricate work which you can find from the majestic building.

If your photo is here somewhere in this album, and you feel that you are cute enough to be here, let me know! I shall be happy to remove them from here, whatever you say.

Anyway, the auntie on the very first photo comes from Mayflower Travel and Tours if I am not mistaken and she’s very cheeky, here is one the remarks she made from our trip in Mutiara at Teluk Bahang to the city – “Yes, I am parting my leg like this, but that doesn’t constitue an invitation, it is just a security measure, in case the bus tilt left and right”

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Lamp

Not weird enough - blurry image

Light up my life-probably Lightcraft's best definitive tagline
View all 16 photos...
Hi.. this instalation features a lamp that light up some small space in my flat. It's a bit on the low end which only cost me less than RM30 from that famous furniture store at Mutiara. The bulb however was slightly more expensive - which cost me nearly one-third of the whole cost.

My small flat have two side lamps other than the flourescent lamps. On normal lazy days, I will switch both of them on, for the hazy-lazy mood. The flourescent would only be switched on when serious reading need to be done.

I tried my best to have it shoot and turn it into a different object, but my skills are limited, yes, I need more guidance and most importantly - exercise my snapping skills.

I need to know how to make the image more sharp and yet blur at the background.

Hello! What a fruitful week that was! The landslide victory has somewhat push a little to my monotonous monochromatic life. Anyway, let's get back to business.

I have no subject for the shoot, but was more than ever willing to snap some. So here it is, glimpses of canisters or plastic ware - free gift from Joy's fruit juice. Collected over the period of 3 weeks, my supply for groceries normally comes from either Tesco at Mutiara or the mini market near Jalan Tanjung at Sri Damansara.

These photo shoots were taken quite late at night, I was awaken by the heati-ness and went to the kitchen to drink and nibble fruits.

I still think that I should learn photography properly and learn how to take better pictures, I don'k know when I am going to really sit down and read. I hope I will have the time! Till next installation, don't be naughty! Take care!

This is what happen when time is at luxury, and boredom sets in. Non exclusive view of my small place. No, nothing is for sale, not even the cheap plant! Viewing is by all means through appointment, you don't want to see the other side of me do you? Have a fruitful day! ... and by that I mean - eat a fruit today, coffee, though derived from the beans are excluded. So - be jolly!

Mummy's Place

Tombstone - Al Fatehah!

Over the last weekend, we had a kenduri arwah for mummy on the Saturday night. Almost about 70 pax came over to the house for a tahlil and the kenduri - abah friends - the kariah from the neighbouring mosque made up most of the guests. The first kenduri that was held on "malam ke dua" drawn even higher numbers - probably in the range of 120+, Alhamdulillah!

In the afternoon of that Saturday, we went to visit mummy. Mummy has got a tombstone and a very nice white grinded stones covering the grave. It was nice. However the bricks that encircled the grave were of low quality. Just an observation, no complaint!

If you are around the cemetary, you may want to visit mummy's permanent resting place - it is located near the Silverstone facility in Kamunting - right infront of the plant. Mummy's address is Lot 84, Tanah Perkuburan Islam Kamunting, Near the Kamunting Industrial Estate, 34600 Kamunting. No, mummy accept no fan mails though!

Just for the record, mummy passed away on 18 January 2004 at around 8.50 pm at the hospital.

Al-Fatehah!

Joel

Salam Joel, I'd been there once to visit my aruah sister's grave. Al-Fatihah for your Mum. Tue 6-Apr-2004 23:46

I was at my hometown over the weekend and was in town to renew my insurance and road tax last Saturday, which happened to be the nomination day as well.

As we were approaching the Esplanade, we were diverted to Jalan Muzium Hulu (TMGS) and then to the small road that has the infamous mosque and get ourself out at Jalan Istana Larut. From there, we (myself and bro) went to renew the insurance at the Main Road and then headed to Post Office for road tax renewal.

It was early and curiosity kills the cat! At that point of time, some of the roads that leads to the Town Hall, Esplanade, MPT - the lake garden (depending at which point you are at) were already closed. Parked the car at the Post Office and walked to Esplanade.

It was such a nice experience being with the purveyors and fanatics of the political scene. There were cheering and chanting too!

We waited till the returning officer (?) announced who contested what and where.

All in all, it was a good experience and nice day!

To end the day off, we had some fruits from the auntie that sells fruits and wonderful air mata kucing and air cincau located just next to the post office. The auntie now can afford a mini van. I can still recall her selling the same thing back then in the 80's at a spot near my school. That's what I called progress!

Here are some snapshots!

These are some shoots a few days prior to Eidul Adha, which was like a week short of mak's one month anniversary leaving us all. Hope she will rest in peace over there.

Mak, missing you!
